Both protagonists are out for revenge against the ones who betray them. The ones who betray them are considered as heroes, while the MC's are considered as villains. Both have a fantasy setting, and both are incredibly underrated (seriously Tate no Yuusha and Ubel Blatt deserve more recognition). Since Tate no yuusha is originally a light novel, then the manga isn't really updating as much and is far behind compared to the actual source material, but Ubel Blatt is being published monthly, so if you love Tate no Yuusha, then definitely try Ubel Blatt. Both characters are transported to an alternate world but only Shield Hero is a true isekai. They also somehow end up as solo players along the way after an incident happened that ruined their lives and team up with a beautiful girl. The differance being that SAO actually has theme of relationships and how our relationship in the virtual world affects the real world while Shield Hero is merely a deconstruction of rpg themed anime in that mc has one of the most powerful weapons in the game but it's too useless to use effectively without a backup.
MCs are both summoned heroes in another world in order to kill the Demon Lord (Nidome) and fiends crawled out from dimensional cracks (Tate no Yuusha). This new world seems like an online videogame, they can open a menu in which are listed their unlocked abilities and equipment. They were both betrayed by their first comrades and decided to take their revenge against them. To do so, they can only rely on a demihuman girl bought from a slaver. And finally, both MCs have unique abilities distinguishing them from all other adventures. Randomly brought into a fantasy world, a group of ordinary citizens are now tasked with the duty of protecting the kingdom from the evils that reside in the world. The series, however, deviates from the classic 'hero versus demon lord' trope. The protagonist of Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari takes the dark anti-hero path in order protect the innocents from the hordes of demons.
